UPDATE: Together we all raised $8770 for Hope!

CrossFit For Hope is a big deal for us at 321Go.
We believe in giving people the tools to help themselves. In other words, we teach them to fish.

CrossFit For Hope shares this vision; rather than parachuting tons of rice into Kenya, for example, they show up and build schools, box-style. They find the best chance for success, and support that chance. It’s an efficient system with high leverage: CrossFit HQ pays all administration fees. A typical dollar donated to a charity sees a 30-40% “loss” before it reaches its target; with these programs, that loss is zero.

We wanted to help Hope, and asked ourselves, “How can we best leverage our contacts and knowledge to make the greatest difference?” The answer comes in something packaged as a kid’s t-shirt, but it’s a symbol of so much more.

Here’s our idea: ask businesses like ourselves to contribute to a “Hope” kid’s t-shirt. Each business will donate $1200 to appear on the shirts. We’ll donate the printing costs (around $2000) and we’ll sell these shirts for $15 at the Games. Every cent raised goes to Hope. We’ll print only kids’ shirts, because there’s usually a shortage at the Games, and CrossFit For Hope is all about kids, of course.

These sponsors immediately and enthusiastically stepped up:

Affiliate Guard. FrontdeskHQ. Zenplanner. SocialWOD.
TaggedSwag. Wodify. MINDBODY.

We love them for it. Some of them sell competing products, but they were still eager to help. That’s special.

In the business world, we’re officially neutral.

If you want to use Zenplanner or MINDBODY or FrontDeskHQ, that’s great: we’ll use those tools. That means we can make recommendations on software, clothing, equipment and support services without bias: we don’t profit, for example, when we tell you to give SocialWOD or Wodify a try. When we make a recommendation, it’s because we love these companies.

It looks like a really cool t-shirt for your kid, but it’s a proud symbol of something much larger: members of the box community stepping up and using our combined power to do something really amazing. We won’t do the math for you-feel free to do it yourself-but the total contribution to Hope will be outstanding.

Want to support Hope? Just buy your kid a shirt at the 321GoProject booth. We can’t wait to see you.
